“Hhh.. Hhh.. Hhh..” Leeteuk bended his body and wiped his sweat. “Aish, how could they recognize me??? Damned Hyukjae, he said no one will recognize me with this stupid wig! Now i will never be able to date Hyomin!” he pouted to himself and shook the wig off his head. He was pulling out his phone from his pocket to call Hyomin, to tell her that he won’t make it to their date, but suddenly, “KYAAAAAAAA~ LEETEUK OPPAAAAAA!” “KYAAAAAAAAA~” the scream of his fans is getting closer, Leeteuk started to run again, still cursing one of the worst day of his life.
Carisa was just sitting on a swing at the playground when she saw a guy shook off a wig from his head. She was really shocked, and thought that guy is might be a freak. She’s new to this neighborhood. She was about to go from the playground because she was scared to that guy. But then she heard lots of girls screaming and chasing that guy. Carisa was shocked even more. She couldn’t move, and can only watch the guy running away from a group of girls who chased him as if they’re a bunch of lions chasing their prey.
“Sungmin ah~! Help!” Leeteuk yelled when he was arrived in front of Suju’s dorm. “Omo!” Sungmin gasped when he saw his hyung chased by lions, uh, he means fans. He grabbed Leeteuk’s arm and pulled him into the building. Now they’re safe! “Hyung! What did you do?? Why do they chase you like that??” Sungmin asked Leeteuk when they’re waiting for elevator. “Yah! How am i suppose to know?! Why don’t you go ask them??” Leeteuk talk back at Sungmin while chasing his breath. “Ah no thanks. Anyway, you’re safe now. Congratulation” Sungmin patted on his hyung’s back. “i would never go out without any guard for a week!” said Leeteuk.
“Ah~ this day is really exhausting~” Leeteuk lied on his bed. “Really.. Did i do something wrong?” Leeteuk said to himself. He began to feel really tired and sleepy. He was about to close his eyes, but.. BAM! “Hyung! Something bad has happened!! You’ve got to come downstairs!” Eunhyuk suddenly appeared in front of his room. Leeteuk felt really annoyed so he yelled at Eunhyuk, “YAH! WHAT DID YOU DO THIS TIME?! DON’T YOU KNOW I’M TIRED?!”, but then he saw Eunhyuk’s shocked face, he looked scared, so Leeteuk lowered his tone. “What’s wrong, Hyukjae ah?” “Y-you gotta come down to my room” said Eunhyuk. Leeteuk sighed and said “Alright, let’s go down” and they went..
“YAH! I’M YOUR HYUNG! SHOW SOME RESPECT, WON’T YOU?!” “WHAT, HYUNG?! YOU WANT RESPECT?! THEN LEARN TO RESPECT ANYONE ELSE THAN YOURSELF!” Leeteuk heard these screams as soon as he walked into Eunhyuk’s dorm. He immediately realize that Heechul and Donghae are in the middle of a war. No one is brave enough to stop this war so they send Eunhyuk to call the leader. The room was really a mess. Looks like they’ve been throwing everything at each other. “Can this day get any worse?” thought Leeteuk. “I WILL RESPECT SOMEONE WHO RESPECT ME!” Heechul yelled. Leeteuk sighed. “BUT~” “YOU TWO STOP THIS STUPID ACT RIGHT AT THIS INSTANT!” Leeteuk finally yelled. Heechul and Donghae looked down in silence. Leeteuk preached the two of them for a while. Eventually they forgive each other and went to watch movie together, along with Eunhyuk and Sungmin. Leaving Leeteuk alone cleaning up the mess they made.
Leeteuk was picking up a book which Heechul threw at Donghae when he realizes something is missing from his wrist. “No way! My lucky charm bracelet! Where did it go?? No wonder i’m having such a bad day!” He ran off to his room, searching on his bed but he can’t find it. Then he ran to the elevator, but still, he can’t find it. He can’t find it at the apartment lobby either. “Aish! So where in the world could it be?!” He shrugged his head. “i still wear it when i was chased by my ‘popularity effect’, could it be in that playground?” He was about to run to the playground, but when he saw some of his ‘popularity effect’ are still out there, he immediately headed back to his dorm. “There’s still tomorrow” he said to himself.
At one of the broadcasting station, Yunho said to Leeteuk “Hyung, do you have any schedule after this recording? Let’s go watch a movie” but Leeteuk said, “I can’t. i have something to do. My life is ruined!”
“What happened? Did media find out about your girlfriend?”
“Who? Hyomin? She’s not my girlfriend anymore. And it’s not about that. My lucky charm bracelet is missing!”
Yunho looked at Leeteuk as if he has gone crazy, “What? Hyung you can just buy another bracelet!”
Leeteuk looked at Yunho as if Yunho has gone crazy, “It’s not just a bracelet! It’s my soul. Don’t you get it?”
“Yeah, whatever” and Yunho walked away.
After finishing his schedule, Leeteuk ran to the playground by himself. He looked for his bracelet at the place where he stopped yesterday, he looked near the slides, he even look at the bushes. But he still can’t find it. He was about to go crazy when he saw a girl sitting on the swing, he didn’t realize that girl was there before. He was hesitant at first, because he thought that the girl might be one of his Ssasaeng fan. But he reached the girl anyway, “Hey, by any chance have you~ HEY THAT’S MY BRACELET!” he pointed at the girl’s wrist. The girl looked offended and said “What?”
“That’s my bracelet! Where did you find it?” Leeteuk grabbed her wrist and tried to get it out of her hand. But the girl pulled back her hand and yelled at Leeteuk, “YAH!! How dare you?! This is mine! Do you think you’re the only one who has this kind of bracelet?!” Leeteuk was shocked but he’s still convinced that it’s his. “I lost this bracelet here yesterday. It must be mine! Please give it back to me.”
“Are you sure you lost it here?” the girl asked.
“Well, not really..” said Leeteuk.
“See! You don’t even know where you lost it!”
“But i’m sure it’s mine!” Leeteuk is still convinced.
“Then proof it!”
“Eh.. Well..” Leeteuk scratch his head. Actually his charm bracelet is nothing more than an usual bracelet. It’s just its feeling that make it a charm. “Actually it has no special mark, so i don’t know how to proof it” said Leeteuk to the girl. “Well then, this bracelet is mine. So don’t you claim it as yours anymore” said the girl. “I understand, i’m sorry..” Leeteuk bowed to the girl. The girl looked surprised and a little bit guilty as Leeteuk turn away from her and start searching for his bracelet once again. “I’ll help you find it” she said to Leeteuk. “Oh thank you so much, that’s really a kind of you” Leeteuk smiled brightly, showing his sweet dimples. The girl suddenly feel like there’s a butterfly in his stomach.
They searched every inches of the playground but there’s still no sight of Leeteuk’s bracelet. “Ouch!” the girl suddenly yelled, because Leeteuk pressed a cold can of cola to her cheek. “Kekeke, i’m sorry. Here, drink it, it’s better for us to cool down a little bit, the weather is too hot!” said Leeteuk. “Thanks” said the girl. They went to sit on the swings to enjoy the cola. “Ah~ i think i should let it go”, Leeteuk suddenly talk. “So you give up?” the girl asked. Leeteuk raised his shoulder, “Yeah, i think it’s time to let it go, it’s been together with me since ten years ago, maybe it’s bored with me, so it runs away, haha.” The girl laughed, “You’re so silly” said the girl.
“Hey, I’m Jungsoo, by the way. What’s your name?” Leeteuk use his real name, because this girl seemed didn’t know who he is. “My name is Carisa. I just moved here from Canada a few days ago” the girl answered. “Oh so that’s why she doesn’t recognize me. Not because the lack of my popularity” Leeteuk thought. “But you look like a Korean?” Leeteuk asked the girl. “Well, my dad is a Korean and my mom is a Canadian, but i look more like my dad, so in outside i really look like a korean, but i’m pretty much blank about this country”, Carisa sighed. “Really? What do you want to know? I’ll tell you, keke” “Really? You will? Well i have some question to ask..”
So they were chatting on and on like bestfriends, but suddenly Carisa’s phone rang. “Hello? Yeah, mom, i’m on my way home now, okay? Bye”, Carisa sighed. “That was my mom, i gotta go home now. It was really nice to talk to you, Jungsoo Oppa” Carisa told Leeteuk. “Oh too bad, it was really nice to talk to you too, thank you for accompanying me to find my bracelet. i hope we can meet again someday” said Leeteuk. “Yeah i hope so, and i hope you find your bracelet soon, keke. well, annyeongkaseyo~” Carisa bowed to Leeteuk. Leeteuk also bowed to Carisa “Annyeongkaseyo~”.
At the dorm, Kangin was the first one who greet Leeteuk, “Hyung, where have you been?? Manager hyung was looking for you, but then he took Eunhyuk away instead of you.” Leeteuk put his hand around Kangin’s neck and took him to the living room. “Yah, i just found a girl”, he said. “Again?? Who is it now??” Kangin shook his head, “This hyung really..” he thought. “Yah she’s differrent!” Leeteuk said, as if he can read Kangin’s mind. So he began to tell all he knows about Carisa. After he finishes his story, Kangin said “Hyung.. she seemed like a naive girl, you should treat her well!” Leeteuk slapped Kangin on the back of his head “Since when did i treat a girl badly?? I’m going to that playground again tomorrow.” Kangin was about to said something, but then he repressed the urge of talking back to his leader hyung. Because he knows that is no use. Nothing could stand between Leeteuk the womanizer, and a girl.
The next day, Leeteuk went to the playground at the same time as yesterday. As expected, Carisa was there sitting on a swing. “Carisa!” called Leeteuk. “Oh, Jungsoo Oppa, annyeonghaseyo~!” Carisa bowed to Leeteuk. “Whoa, your manner is going to be even better than a korean, kekeke” said Leeteuk. Carisa just smiled. “Have you eat?” asked Leeteuk, “Umm… nope.” “Why? Have you ever tried ddokbbokgi?” “What is that?” “Come on, i’ll show you” Leeteuk grabbed Carisa’s hand and took her to a ddukbokgi shop. That day, he took Carisa on a sudden Korean Culinary Trip. Carisa even win over Leeteuk on eating ddukbokgi as much and as fast as they can.
Day by day, Carisa’s and Leeteuk’s relationship become closer and closer. The other members of Super Junior even teased Leeteuk that the womanizer has finally been conquered. One day, Carisa and Leeteuk were walking around at the beach, when Carisa suddenly clapped her hand and said “Oppa, i have a request, will you fullfill it?”
“Depends, if the request is to let you marry someone else than me, then i won’t fullfill it” Leeteuk answered.
“Nooo, if you fulfill my request. I promise you, no i swear to you, i swear to you on my mother’s name, that you’ll be the last person i’ve ever loved. I’ll love you and only you forever!” Carisa said it cheerfully, she even put her right hand on her left chest.
“Really? What is it then?” Leeteuk is getting curious.
“I want you to not reach me for a day. No phone call, no text, no email, no instant messaging, no chatting. Just live without me for one day. Can you do that?”
“No way, i don’t wanna live without you even for a day. Shilleoh!” Leeteuk turn his face away from Carisa. But Carisa put her hand on Leeteuk’s face and pulled it in front of her face softly, “Oppa, please, do it for me.” Leeteuk looked into Carisa’s eyes and can’t bear to deny her wish, “Arasseo, arasseo, i’ll do it. But you promised, right?” “Yay! Yeah i promise! I swear! Pinky promise!” Caris reached out her tiny finger, Leeteuk hooked it up with his finger, then hugged and kissed Carisa’s forehead.
The next day, Leeteuk felt really anxious. He put salt into his coffee. He brought the wrong shoes to perform, causing he’s the only one who wear white shoes on the stage while the others wore black. He also slipped on the stage. He even barely touch his meals. The managers and other members can only shook their head seeing he’s acting like this. But Leeteuk doesn’t care. He doesn’t even care if Kyuhyun is making a prank of him. He doesn’t talk back to Heechul, when Heechul reveals one of his secret on a variety show. He just relieved that Heechul doesn’t talk about Carisa. The time felt too slow for Leeteuk.
Kangin tried to calm him down, “Hyung, don’t be like this. She said she’ll love you forever, right? You even made a pinky promise, hahahahha” Leeteuk just sighed, after a while he said “Youngwoon ah, do you think i should tell her about who am i?” Kangin raised an eyebrow, Leeteuk seemed really serious about this relationship, which is the last thing he expected coming from a Leeteuk, “Well.. Yeah, i think she deserve to know the truth, Hyung. If.. you are intending to be serious with her.” “Is that so? Yah~ Youngwoon ah, i think i’m really in love. I’ll tell her tomorrow”
Finally the torturing day has passed. Leeteuk went to Carissa’s house the next day. He was surprised because there were so many people coming to the house that day. He thought that Carisa’s parents might be having a party for the neighborhood to celebrate the days, or weeks, or months after they moved here. Leeteuk walk inside the house confidently, a bouquet of roses was held in his hands. But then, the roses slipped down from his hands as he saw Carisa, lied stiff as a corpse in the middle of the living room. At first he can’t move. He can’t believe it, “No, no, no way” he murmured to himself. He began to walk to Carisa slowly, trying to deny the reality step by step as he gets closer to his dearest Carisa.
Carisa was just lied there. Her hands were holding a bracelet and an envelope with “TO PARK JUNGSOO” on it. Leeteuk get down on his knees, crying and start calling Carisa. It was really a painful scene to see. “No, Carisa, please.. This can’t happened.. Please.. Carisa dear, wake up.. Please” Leeteuk cried out. Suddenly a woman approached Leeteuk and took him away from Carisa’s side, it was Carisa’s mom. “Jungsoo ah, when she first met you, she was actually dying from a disease that can’t be cured. Moreover when we have to move here to Korea, she said she was about to give up her life. But when she met you, she’s back to the cheerful and optimist Carisa that i used to know. She even fight until the very end of her life. So i thank you, Jungsoo ah. Thanks for giving Carisa the happiest days of her life, even if it’s just for a short time. This letter, and bracelet belongs to you” said Carisa’s mom. Leeteuk can’t say anything. He was too shocked, Carisa’s mom left him alone so he can calm himself down.
Leeteuk cried inside his car. He felt hurt. Really hurt. He felt like his chest could burst out in anytime. He grabbed his cellphone. His hands were shaking, he called a number. “Youngwoon ah” Leeteuk’s voice trembled heavily. “Hyung? What happened??” Kangin sounded worry. “Youngwoon ah can you come here? I’ll text you the address” Leeteuk sounded weak. “Yeah sure, but are you okay Hyung? What happened?” “Leeteukie ah~! What happened?!” Heechul’s voice coming from the side. “I’ll tell you when you get here. ask Heechulie to drive you here” “Okay Hyung, text me the address”. Leeteuk ended the call, then he text Kangin the address of Carisa’s house. Then he cried.
An half hour later, Kangin and Heechul knocked on Leeteuk’s window. In a minute they’re already inside Leeteuk’s car. “Ya, what happened? Where’s the girl?” Heechul asked unpatiently. “She.. She’s gone” Leeteuk said weakly. “WHAT?!” Heechul yelled. “Hyung, what do you mean?” Kangin was not sure of what Leeteuk’s trying to say. “She died.. Last night..” said Leeteuk. Silence. Nor Kangin or Heechul dared to say anything. Leeteuk is really fragile, they afraid if they would say something wrong. Finally Kangin said “Hyung.. Do you want me to drive you home?” “Yeah… please.. i really can’t drive right now. I feel like i’m dying too” said Leeteuk. “YA! How could you say that?! Jungsoo yah, you got us!” Heechul said to Leeteuk. “Let’s go home!” he continued.
Along the way, Leeteuk just stared blankly outside the window. He kept holding Carisa’s letter and bracelet. Kangin was hurt too, seeing his leader hyung like this. He wanted to do something for Leeteuk, but he doesn’t know what to do. Finally they arrived at the dorm. Leeteuk looked like a zombie, his eyebags were swollen, and he was walking unsteadily. When they arrived at their room, the people inside suddenly fell silent. Donghae asked, “What happened??” But Leeteuk didn’t reply. He went to his room and locked himself up.
Leeteuk lied on his bed, he felt like he has no energy left. It was more exhausting than being chased by Ssaeng fans. Then he sat down to read Carisa’s letter that he has been holding all the way. At the outside of his room, Kangin told the members about what happened to Leeteuk and that they should avoid any trouble until Leeteuk recovers from this pain. But suddenly, they heard a loud glass breaking sound from Leeteuk’s room. They all rushed to the source of noise. “LEETEUK HYUNG WHAT HAPPENED????” Ryeowook shouted. Kangin tried to opened the door but it’s locked, “LEETEUK HYUNG OPEN THE DOOR!!!” he and the other member also shouted. Finally Kangin decided to break the door. And there, they found Leeteuk standing in front of a broken mirror, with his hand bleeding, holding Carisa’s letter.
“Jungsoo dear, you did it. You’ve lived without me for a day. Can you do it everyday? I keep my promise, didn’t i? kekeke. Saranghaeyo Jungsoo oppa.
